N.Korea to Get Heavy Fuel in 2 Weeks

South Korea will send 50-thousand tons of heavy oil fuel to North Korea within two weeks, as agreed under the February nuclear agreement.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul said this was agreed on during two days of working-level talks with Pyeongyang in the North Korean border city of Gaesong.

The first concrete steps for the shutdown of the North's nuclear facilities and the resumption of the six-party talks are expected to come in mid-July, if Pyongyang adheres to the simultaneous implementation of nuclear dismantlement in exchange for heavy oil supplies.

Both sides also say they will complete the shipping procedure within 20 days after the first shipment leaves South Korea.
