The World Food Program's secretary general Catherine Bertini said Tuesday that the WFP would provide North Korea this year with 314 million dollars worth of food.
She said in a WFP office in Bangkok that the WFP plans to give special attention to North Korea and Indonesia in its food aid program this year among Asian countries.
She added that North Korea would receive 800,000 tons of food, which will be distributed to 8 million North Koreans, about one third of total population.
