The Korea National Railroad Administrator is in Russia on a mission to make a preliminary survey on the proposed linking of a tans-Korea railway and the trans-Russia railway.
Sohn Hak-nae is leading a South Korean delegation on the mission.
The delegation is making a feasibility study aboard a train from Russia's Far East to Novoshibirsk.
Sohn will also meet with his Russian counterpart in Moscow.
