Koreas Hold Working-level Military Talks

Working-level military talks between the two Koreas will open Tuesday on the northern side of the Panmunjeom Truce Village.

The North and South are expected to discuss various topics agreed upon during the general-level military talks held in May.

At the time, the two sides agreed to discuss the establishment of a joint fishing zone in the West Sea, steps to prevent flooding of the Imjin River and other military safety guarantee measures.

The two Koreas met again in early June to follow up on the issues but made little progress, as Pyongyang insisted that the Northern Limit Line in the West Sea be reset.
