NK Parliamentary Leader to Visit Mongolia

North Korean parliamentary leader Kim Yong-nam will visit Mongolia next week at the invitation of President Nambaryn Enkhbayar.

A South Korean Embassy official in Ulaanbaatar said Friday that Kim will meet with top Mongolian officials to discuss bilateral economic cooperation during his trip from July 20th through the 23rd.

The official said that the visit will be the first by a high-level Pyongyang official since North Korean and Mongolia established diplomatic ties in 1990. He added that the two sides will likely discuss the North’s dispatch of workers to the Central Asian country, which suffers from a shortage of technical workers.

The North Korean parliamentary leader, who heads the Presidium of North Korea's Supreme People's Assembly, will also pay a goodwill visit to Algeria and Ethiopia.
