BIS ratios for commercial banks average 11.1 %

South Korean commercial banks' capital adequacy ratios is eleven point one percent on average as of the end of June.
The Financial Supervisory Service said the ratio is up six tenth of a percentage point from the end of last year.
The minimum ratio recommended by the Bank for International Settlements is eight percent.
According to the July issue of the financial magazine The Banker, the BIS ratio for the South Korean banks is similar to that in advanced countries.
