Inter-Korean Trade Grows 28.6% in First Half

A report finds that trade between South and North Korea in the first half of the year increased 28-point-six percent on the year, spurred by the growth of the inter-Korean industrial complex in Gaesong.

The Korea International Trade Association said Thursday that the volume of inter-Korean trade reached 720 million dollars in the first six months.

The association said South Korea's exports to North Korea fell about nine percent to 330-million dollars during the cited period, but imports from the North surged roughly 63 percent to 390-million dollars.
