Koreas to Hold Video Reunions Aug. 13-14

The sixth round of inter-Korean family video reunions will begin August 13th and last for two days.

Seoul's Unification Ministry said Wednesday that 40 families from each side will be reunited via video link in nine South Korean cities and Pyongyang.

The two Koreas have already exchanged the lists of families who will participate in the reunions and agreed to test the video equipment on Monday.

During an inter-Korean meeting of Red Cross officials in April, the two sides agreed to hold two days of family reunions via video link on August 13th, just before the anniversary of Korea's independence from Japanese colonial rule in 1945.
