Gov’t Boosts Prep Team for Inter-Korean Summit

The government has enlarged its advance party for the second inter-Korean summit, increasing the number of members from 30 to 35.

The Unification Ministry said it requested North Korea to increase the party's size considering the short time it had to prepare for the summit that begins August 28th.

The ministry is planning to inform the North by this Friday of the composition of the advance party to be led by Vice Unification Minister Lee Kwan-se. The group will be dispatched to the North Tuesday to conduct a preliminary review and discuss summit arrangements including protocol and communications.
