South Korean nongovernmental organizations, or NGOs, are stepping up efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to North Korea's flood victims.

International aid agency World Vision plans to send wheat flour and medicine worth 200 million won aboard a ship leaving Incheon for the North Korean city of Nampo next Monday. The aid goods will arrive in the North next Tuesday.

Another organization named South-North Sharing also plans to ship 400 million won worth of blankets and medicines as well as three-thousand sets of aid goods to North Korea next Friday.

The NGOs said the aid goods are to help North Koreans suffering from recent floods, adding that they plan to send more.
