Flood Aid to N.Korea to Go Via Land

North Korea has accepted South Korea's offer of sending emergency relief aid to the North next week by land.

South Korean Unification Minister Lee Jae-joung said Sunday that Pyongyang said yes considering the seriousness of the North's flood damage.

He said the supplies will be shipped after his ministry reports it to the National Assembly early this week.

The supplies include daily necessities and medicine and will be shipped between Thursday and Saturday by 200 trucks through the North's border city of Gaesong,

Seoul will also send construction materials after receiving from Pyongyang a list of necessary items.
