NGOs Send Flood Aid to North Korea

The National Red Cross has completed loading shipments of flood aid to North Korea to provide relief from the damage it suffered due to recent torrential rains.

The aid package containing seven-point-one billion won worth of food, medicine and other necessities will leave for North Korea via an overland route on Thursday.

Also, the international aid organization Join Together Society will ship blankets, clothes and shoes worth three-hundred million won to the North Korean city of Yangdok, South Pyongan Province, traveling from Incheon Port via the Chinese city of Dandong.

Good Neighbors will also send relief goods worth three-hundred-50 million won.
