The government held a meeting Thursday of its preparatory task force for the second inter-Korean summit, reviewing measures to be taken now that the summit has been postponed to early October.

Unification Minister Lee Jae-joung, who chaired the meeting, asked the task force to thoroughly study how the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit forum and the six-party talks on the North Korean nuclear issue will affect the regional situation and summit agendas.

The summit task force is also known to have heard each ministry's views on the kinds of sites to be visited by President Roh Moo-hyun and his entourage during the summit.
