US, NK to Meet for Normalization Working Group

U.S. sources say that North Korea and the United States will hold working-level normalization talks in Geneva, Switzerland on September first and second.

Officials of the two countries will discuss issues including implementation of North Korea's pledge to disable its nuclear facilities and the removal of North Korea from a U.S. State Department list of state sponsors of terrorism.

The scheduled working group meeting is one of five agreed to by the six-party talks countries last month. Three have been held already.

According to Japan's Kyodo News Agency, the six countries will convene another meeting of delegation chiefs possibly in mid-September to build a road map for disabling the North's nuclear facilities.
