A group of U.S. congressmen have visited North Korea’s Mount Geumgang.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul said Wednesday that a delegation led by U.S. representatives Ed Royce, Diane Watson and Earl Pomeroy are visiting the North Korean resort area Wednesday and Thursday.

The U.S. lawmakers arrived in Seoul on Sunday to meet with South Korean National Assembly leaders and officials.

California Republican Royce and his delegation will be the first from the U.S. Congress to visit North Korea’s Mount Geumgang resort.

Royce is known to be a strong supporter of South Korea and a hardliner on North Korea. Pomeroy is an eighth-term Democrat from North Dakota.
