Special session of U.N. general assembly likely to be convened

South Korean Foreign Minister Han Seung-soo, currently in New York to take up the presidency of the United Nations General Assembly for its 56th Session, said the United Nations will seek ways of eradicating terrorism and may convene an emergency session of the General Assembly.
In an interview with the Yonhap News Agency, Han said he and Secretary-General Kofi Annan are discussing the need to convene a special session of the General Assembly to discuss the incident.
Han said South Korea denounces the terrorist actions taken against significant U.S. buildings on Tuesday morning along with all other nations around the world.
