Gov’t to Pay 50 Billion Won for NK Flood Aid

The government has decided to pay close to 50 billion won out of the inter-Korean cooperation fund to provide flood aid to North Korea.

With the money, the government will provide reconstruction materials and equipment worth over 37 billion won and set aside ten billion for transportation fees and reserve funds.

It will also pay two million dollars, or two billion won, to the United Nations as part of the international flood relief efforts for the North.
