UM ‘Inter-Korean Summit Not Affected by Flood ’

Unification Minister Lee Jae-joung says the inter-Korean summit slated for October is not likely to be affected by damage from last month's flooding in North Korea.

Lee said that Seoul and Pyongyang are actively communicating on a daily basis as they prepare for the summit.

He said that delegations from the two Koreas would be able to use overland routes for the upcoming inter-Korean summit talks although it would take the North some time to repair flood-damaged roads.
