Seoul City to Provide Tap Water to NK

The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to provide 90 tons of the city tap water brand "Arisu” to flood-stricken North Korea.

The city government announced Thursday that it will also provide 300-million won worth of medical supplies to the isolated country as it recovers from last month’s heavy flooding.

Seoul City has been actively providing aid to the North since the communist state provided rice and cement to South Korea when it was hit by a typhoon in 1984.

Seoul’s aid package left Incheon Port on Wednesday and will arrive at the North’s Nampo Port on Thursday.
