Civilian humanitarian organizations will transport aid supplies to North Korean flood victims using an overland route for the first time ever.

An association of aid organizations will supply 15 trucks of cement and eight trucks of medicine to North Korea via the land route.

An association spokesman expected more aid supplies to go to the North via surface routes in the future.

The humanitarian organizations will provide North Korean flood victims with relief goods worth 20 billion won by mid-October.
