A joint council of five Asian Biennales has launched.

South Korea’s Gwangju Biennale said Wednesday that a joint consultative body called “Art Compass 2008” launched activity after holding a news conference Friday at the opening of the International Istanbul Biennale in Turkey.

The conference was attended by some 60 officials from five Asian Biennales, who came together to discuss joint marketing and promotion strategies.
