A North Korean diplomat has dismissed claims by U.S. officials that their government did not promise to remove Pyongyang from the State Department's list of terror-sponsoring nations.
The diplomat stationed in Moscow made the remarks when prompted by Russia's Interfax News Agency to comment on the different statements issued by Washington and Pyongyang on the matter.
The North Korean official said that in recent talks on the North's nuclear disablement, the U.S. vowed to delist Pyongyang as a compensatory measure for disabling its nuclear programs.
The diplomat stressed that future developments will prove whose claims were right.
Early this month, the North Korean Foreign Ministry announced that the U.S. had promised to remove Pyongyang from its list of terror-sponsoring countries. Washington was quick to deny the claim.
