A team of Korean women archers has beat their Japanese rivals to top the Asian standings.

In the women's group recurve section finals at the 15th Asian Archery Championship, the team consisting of Lee Sung-jin, Yun Ok-hee and Ahn Sae-jin tied Japan at 217 in a come-from-behind surge. They went on to beat the Japanese team 27 to 24 in a shoot-out.

With the victory, Korea has reclaimed its gold medal for the women's group since losing it to China in 2005.
