Top U.S. nuclear envoy Christopher Hill plans to meet with his North Korean counterpart Kim Kye-kwan Wednesday in Beijing, a day before the six-party nuclear talks are set to resume in the Chinese capital.

Hill announced the meeting to reporters Saturday in New York.

The U.S. envoy will also hold talks on Tuesday with Japan's chief six-party talks delegate Kenichiro Sasae and arrive in Beijing the next day.

The upcoming round of six-way talks is scheduled to run for four days until Sunday.
