PR Not to Disclose S-N Summit Agenda in Advance

President Roh Moo-hyun said Friday that advance disclosure of the agenda for the upcoming inter-Korean summit is "not desirable" in terms of diplomatic practice, personal etiquette, or for the success of the talks.

Presidential Spokesman Cheon Ho-seon told a news briefing that Mr. Roh wanted to convey that message amid a flood of speculative media reports on the summit agenda.

But Cheon added that the president promised to make public all summit agreements and discussions within a day of his return to Seoul.

He quoted the president as saying that inter-Korean relations have proceeded in a transparent manner thus far and they will continue to do so in the future.

Cheon added that Mr. Roh hopes the public would understand the situation.
