Reporters Crowd Summit Press Center

The headquarters for news outlets covering the inter-Korean summit from Seoul is crowded with domestic and foreign reporters.

The press center has registered some 910 Korean reporters from 140 agencies as of Tuesday morning, along with 350 correspondents from 82 foreign news agencies in 16 countries.

Two huge screens installed outside the center showed President Roh Moo-hyun's departure from his office and his arrival at the military demarcation line (MDL).

When the president called for a "breaking down of the wall of division" before walking across the border, some inside the center applauded.
