Major Arab news outlets are reporting on the inter-Korean summit talks as headline news.

Arab satellite broadcaster Al Jazeera said that President Roh Moo-hyun was the first South Korean leader to walk across the inter-Korean border before being received by North Korean counterpart Kim Jong-il in Pyongyang.

Al Jazeera projected that the two Koreas were not likely to discuss sensitive issues such as North Korea's nuclear program and human rights situation.

Meanwhile, pan-Arab news broadcaster Al-Arabia placed significance on Roh’s visit to Pyongyang via an over land route.
