Roh Holds Talks with NK No.2 Leader

After an official welcoming ceremony in Pyongyang, President Roh Moo-hyun met with North Korea’s number-two leader Kim Yong-nam at the Mansudae Assembly Hall, the North's parliament.

A South Korean pool report from Pyongyang said Mr. Roh and the North's parliamentary leader discussed pending issues on inter-Korean relations, including economic cooperation and a Korean peace regime.

The meeting was scheduled for three p.m. but was delayed for an hour as the welcoming ceremony at the April 25th House of Culture took longer than expected.

Due to the delay, Mr. Roh's planned visit to the heavy industry section of the North’s Three-Revolution Exhibition Hall is expected to take place Wednesday.
