A special delegation accompanying the president to the inter-Korean summit has held talks with North Korean officials on cooperation in seven areas including politics, economy, society and culture.
Former National Assembly Speaker Kim Won-ki and other South Korean party representatives met Wednesday with Pyongyang's Supreme People's Assembly Speaker Choe Thae-bok and discussed political exchanges including a cross-border parliamentary summit.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Group Chairman Chung Mong-koo and other business leaders held talks with the North's Cabinet Councilor Han Bong-chun on inter-Korean investment and business projects.
South Korean Red Cross President Han Wan-sang discussed humanitarian exchanges with director Ahn Kyong-ho of the North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland.
Professor Kim Yong-ok and writer Jo Jung-rae also met with leading North Korean cultural figures while other delegates in media, broadcasting and sports also discussed exchanges and cooperation in their respective fields.
