Koreas to Issue Joint Declaration Thursday

President Roh Moo-hyun and North Korean leader Kim Jong-il will issue a joint declaration Thursday summarizing their three-day summit in Pyongyang.

The joint declaration will be announced during a luncheon meeting hosted by the North Korean leader that will begin at 12:30 p.m. after he and Mr. Roh hold a signing ceremony.

Following the summit talks Wednesday, Roh attended the Arirang Festival mass gymnastics performance and then hosted a dinner for top North Korean officials.

The South Korean delegation will leave Pyongyang Thursday afternoon and again cross the military demarcation line on their way home.
