'NK Agreed to Regular Summit Talks'

Also in the declaration, South and North Korea have agreed to hold summit talks “on an occasional basis.”

The presidential office Cheong Wa Dae says Seoul accepted Pyongyang's stance that using the word “regular" to describe the summit talks would be inappropriate, citing the special relationship between the two Koreas.

Cheong Wa Dae says, however, the agreed wording of "to meet on an occasional basis" is equivalent to an endorsement of regular talks at the highest level.

The presidential office called the three-day summit a driving force for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and the enhancement of cross-border ties.
