South Korea plans to open a Korean cultural center in Mexico city as early as next year.
Korea's Ambassador to Mexico announced the plan Wednesday to a group of lawmakers who visited the Embassy for annual parliamentary inspections of overseas diplomatic missions.
The cultural center will be the first such one in Central and Latin American countries.
The Ambassador also said the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency will establish a trade office in the Cuban capital of Havana as soon as negotiations are completed with the Cuban government.
