U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan has welcomed the resumption of dialogue between the two Koreas.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Annan said he supports the agreements reached at this week's inter-Korean ministerial talks' to resume reunions of separated families and to promote economic exchange.
He also encouraged Seoul and Pyongyang to hold the second summit talks and to implement other agreements reached at last year's summit meeting.
