'Sea Border Not Covered at Inter-Korean Summit'

The two Koreas did not discuss the redrawing of the Northern Limit Line, the western sea border between both countries, at last week's inter-Korean summit.

A high-level Seoul official said neither President Roh Moo-hyun nor North Korean leader Kim Jong-il raised the issue.

The official said that President Roh proposed an ecologic park at the Demilitarized Zone as a symbol of peace. Kim rejected the offer, however, saying that the time is not right.

Roh also suggested as candidate sites for inter-Korean business complexes Dancheon and Nampo. Kim proposed Ahnbyon instead of Dancheon.
