North Korea's Rodong Sinmun says the inter-Korean summit has opened a new era for reunification, reflecting the spirit of the June 15th, 2000 joint declaration and of the Korean people.

Marking the 62nd anniversary of its founding, the North Korean Workers' Party stressed in the daily that unification was the Korean people's greatest task.

Meanwhile, the daily called for attention to be focused on the livelihood of North Koreans as they set off on a historic march to build a strong socialist country.
