The business community plans to send a large-scale delegation to North Korea for an on-site survey of the investment environment of the communist state as part of a follow-up to last week's inter-Korean summit.

At a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Kwon O-kyu, heads of five major business organizations agreed to form a private-sector task force that would discuss with the South and North Korean governments planned inter-Korean economic projects.

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will take the initiative in forming the task force which will also include more business associations in addition to the five organizations.

The business delegation will leave for the North after the formation of the task force. The delegation will visit Haeju, Nampo and other places, the sites of proposed inter-Korean business projects.
