Summit Implementation Panel Launched

The government has formed a pan-governmental special committee for the implementation of agreements reached at last week's inter-Korean summit.

The Ministry of Unification says the committee will hold its first meeting at presidential office Cheong Wa Dae on Friday morning.

Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and all Cabinet members and heads of other government agencies are to attend the meeting.

Headed by the prime minister, the committee will have a working-level planning group overseen by Unification Minister Lee Jae-joung.

The committee will discuss ways to implement follow-up measures to the inter-Korean summit held in Pyongyang last week.
