South Korean Foreign Minister Han Seung-soo consoled families of the dead and missing from last week's terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center at a center set up to deal with the catastrophe Friday afternoon.
Han, in his capacity as president of the 56th U.N. General Assembly, said, the United States has a great tradition of uniting its people under its national flag at a time of crisis.
He explained the United Nations' response to the terrorist attacks, including the adoption of an anti-terrorism resolution.
Numerous dignitaries including former U.S. President Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister Tony Blair visited the center, which receives and provides information on those dead or missing from the attack. It is also gathering DNA data to help identify the dead.
