Leading foreign firms will be allowed to purchase land in the inter-Korean Gaesong Industrial Park from the end of this year.

The Korea Land Corporation said Monday that it decided to suspend sales of land lots in the industrial park to lesser-known foreign companies, reserving the lots for top-level foreign firms in light of improvements in the business environment at the industrial complex.

Currently, there are six parcels of land reserved for foreign firms in the industrial park.
