A completion ceremony for first-phase development of the inter-Korean Gaesong Industrial Complex will be held Tuesday.

The Korea Land Corporation said around 340 South Koreans and 100 North Koreans will attend the ceremony in the North Korean border city.

The completed section of the industrial park measures three-point-three square kilometers. Most of its infrastructure was done as of June, or four years after construction began.

Currently, there are 57 companies operating in the completed section.

The Korea Land Corporation plans to survey and analyze soil for some eight-point-two square kilometers of land at the complex to prepare for second-phase development. Phase Two construction begins next year.
