The government is seeking to conclude an agreement with North Korea to open nonstop flight service from Seoul to Mt. Baekdu, following up on an inter-Korean summit pledge.

The Construction and Transportation Ministry said in a document submitted to the National Assembly that it was preparing a draft agreement on inter-Korean flight service.

Meanwhile, the ministry is also preparing to provide water for industrial use across the inter-Korean border as part of second- and third-phase development for the North’s Gaesong Industrial Complex.
