US Experts Return from NK Inspection

A group of U.S. experts has left North Korea after a week spent finalizing details on the scope and process of that country's nuclear disablement.

The eight-member group, led by U.S. State Department official Sung Kim, arrived Thursday at a Beijing airport but did not speak to reporters.

During their eight-day stay in the communist country, the expert team inspected three nuclear facilities including the North's main nuclear reactor in Yongbyon.

The disablement plan resulting from the U.S.-North Korea technical talks will be submitted to the six-party chief delegates for their approval. Once the plan is adopted, follow-up teams will visit the North to carry out the technical steps.
