Mt. Geumgang Reunion Center to Open Next Month

The head of the national Red Cross said Thursday separated families in the two Koreas will be
able to find their lost relatives any time from next month, when a family reunion center opens at the North's scenic Mount Geumgang resort.

Red Cross chief Han Wan-sang made the remark while visiting the center construction site, noting that when South and North Korean humanitarian officials start to work there in November, reunions of separated families will take place more often.

Han said the reunions would be possible at any time, as officials will always be on hand to take reunion applications.
