Seoul Seeks Inter-Korean PM Talks Next Month

The government is seeking to hold Inter-Korean prime ministerial talks during the second week of November.

A government official said Friday that Seoul is even considering pushing the meeting forward to an earlier date.

The official added that Seoul is likely to propose holding separate talks with Pyongyang on establishing a special West Sea peace zone, one of the key accords in the second inter-Korean summit declaration.

The official also said it would be desirable for the two Koreas to hold the prime ministerial talks first, then the defense ministerial talks followed by negotiations on the West Sea peace zone.
