An international student animation festival opened in Bucheon, west of Seoul on Friday.

The ninth Puchon International Student Animation Festival has brought together about 290 works by students and independent filmmakers from 30 nations.

The five-day festival will also feature a variety of workshops and exhibitions.

Organizers say they have invited foreign and domestic animation companies and professionals to the festival to help students get practical information about their future career or investment.
