A Chinese flag carrier will operate three flights a week between Beijing and Pyongyang starting in January.

Air China said it's taking reservations for a Beijing-Pyongyang route that will operate every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from January second.

Currently, North Korea’s Air Koryo is the only airliner that serves Beijing and Pyongyang three times a week. China Southern Airlines halted service between the two cities after North Korea conducted nuclear tests in October last year.
