‘More Koreans Visiting Japan’

Koreans visiting Japan this year will outnumber Japanese visitors to Korea for the first time ever.

During a promotional stop in New York, Culture and Tourism Minister Kim Jong-min told Korean reporters that two-point-four million Korean tourists will have visited Japan by year's end. In contrast, the number of Japanese visiting Korea will total about two-point-three million.

Kim attributed the turnaround to the fall of the yen against the won, as it had made a visit to Japan relatively cheap.
