Koreas to Hold Prep. Talks for Defense Ministers' Meeting

South and North Korea will hold working-level talks Monday to prepare for their defense ministers' meeting set for later this month.

The Defense Ministry in Seoul said Thursday that Pyongyang accepted Seoul's proposal to hold the preparatory talks on Monday. The North initially proposed Friday for the inter-Korean defense chiefs' meeting.

The preparatory talks will be held at the North Korean side of the truce village of Panmunjeom to set the schedule and agenda for the defense ministerial talks.

The South Korean delegation will be led by Brigadier General Moon Sung-mook while the North Korean delegation will be headed by Senior Colonel Pak Rim-su.
