The gov't will watch Japan's military aid for U.S. anti-terror war

Foreign Minister Han Seung-soo said Friday the government would carefully watch Japan's move to enact a special law allowing the dispatch of its self-defense troops to support the United States fight against terrorism.
Speaking at a National Assembly Unification and Foreign Affairs Committee meeting, Han noted that although Japan says the proposed law would be in force for a limited period only, the government is keeping in mind the possibility that the law will set a precedent for Japan's future military commitments.
