South and North Korea will hold talks on boosting civilian exchanges late this month in Gaesong to follow up on an inter-Korean summit accord reached in October.

The meeting will bring together the heads of North and South Korean committees on the implementation of the June 15 Declaration produced at the first inter-Korean summit in 2000.

The talks will focus on boosting civilian-level exchanges between the two Koreas.

The South Korean committee said the two sides will review their achievements this year and discuss next year's projects.
